SMPH crosslinker(Succinimidyl-6-[ß-maleimidopropionamido]hexanoate) is a water insoluble, heterobifunctional protein crosslinker with anon-cleavable spacer arm length of 14.3 angstroms. The SMPH crosslinking reagent has maleimidegroups which are reactive to thiols (sufhydryls) and its NHS ester groups reactwith amines at pH 6.5-7.5 and 7-9, respectively.
