Diol Biotin-Alkyne is an alkyne-activated, sodium periodate cleavable biotin probe that allows for efficient release of the captured biomolecules from streptavidin. This reagent contains a biotin moiety linked to a terminal alkyne group through a spacer arm containing a vicinal diol that can be cleaved with sodium periodate.
